Gurparkash Kaur

Office Assistant

I am currently working as an Office Assistant (Project Staff), Dept. of Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar, having rejoined the institute in July 2024. In my current role, I support the administrative work and ensuring smooth coordination and the timely execution of project-related activities.

Previously, from 2019 to 2022, I served as an Office Assistant at IIT Ropar. During that time, I was responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including documentation, file management, scheduling, and assisting faculty and staff with day-to-day office operations. I have experience working in a department, which has helped me better understand office operations and provide reliable and organized support in project roles.

As part of the project team, my responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily office operations, filing systems, and documentation.

  • Preparing official correspondence, maintaining records.

  • Coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, and assisting in scheduling   appointments.

  • Handling inventory, procurement, and office supply management.

  • Assisting with financial documentation, including bills, invoices, and reimbursements.

  • Providing overall administrative support to ensure effective project implementation.

  • Respond to general inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
