Arpit Gupta

Former Junior Lab Assistant in the Civil Engineering Department
Present Position: Junior Engineer in the Irrigation & Water Resource Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh

Arpit Gupta completed his schooling from Radha Madhav VidyaPeeth in Tehsil Jalalabad, UP, and pursued his Diploma in Civil Engineering from BTEUP Lucknow in 2013. He gained valuable experience during a summer internship with PWD Shahjahanpur, focusing on road maintenance and design. Arpit then worked as a Site Engineer at Big Brother India Private Limited, contributing to residential building construction in Noida.

In 2014, he joined GLA University Mathura as a Lab Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering, where he assisted in various labs and collaborated with distinguished professors. In 2016, Arpit became a Junior Lab Assistant in the Civil Engineering Department at IIT Ropar, actively involved in setting up and managing UG, PG, and research laboratories. His contributions included establishing the Geomatics Lab and other engineering labs under the guidance of renowned faculty members.

Throughout his career, Arpit has participated in various seminars, workshops, and training sessions to enhance his skills, including GIS, Remote Sensing, and Geotechnical Engineering. He has also been involved in field surveys and data collection projects, using advanced civil engineering equipment like UAVs, DGPS, LIDAR, and more.

Currently, Arpit serves as a Junior Engineer in the Irrigation & Water Resource Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, while nurturing his interests in innovation, reading novels, and exploring structural design and canal maintenance.
